Tamarack Resort has begun accepting reservations for its next two real estate offerings, according to a news release.
In May, resort officials will release about 50 properties as part of the Whitewater 2.2 release. The offering will include some of the final "ski-in, ski-out" properties to be sold by the resort, the release said.
Properties offered will include 12 estate lots, 17 resort-built chalets and cottages, 10 townhouses and 12 lots on which buyers can build their own chalet.
The other offering is known as Village Plaza 3.1 and is made up of 120 residential condominiums located within Tamarack's planned commercial village.
The condos will range in size from studios to three- and four bedroom penthouses perched above the village's pedestrian street, retail shops and restaurants, the news release said.
When the Village Plaza condos will be offered for sale is not yet known, said Amy Koenig, Tamarack's vice president of marketing. Reservations are currently being taken and the resort will hold a release event after about 300 reservations have been made, she said.
Potential buyers must pay $10,000 to secure a reservation for either offering.
The Village Plaza release has been accelerated because of the "overwhelming" interest in condos inside the resort's 90,000-square-foot Members' Lodge, which is under construction, Koenig said. The village is expected to open in late 2006 or early 2007, she said.
The offerings follow three previous Tamarack real estate releases that sold out quickly.
The resort sold 107 properties for $46 million in January 2004, 64 properties for $33.4 million last June, and 134 properties for $91.5 million in January.
Through January's sell-out, which included the first phase of the Whitewater subdivision, Tamarack has sold 147 estate lots out of about 400 proposed in the resort's master plan, Koenig said.
Tamarack CEO Jean-Pierre Boespflug expressed excitement about the resort's first offering of homes in the commercial village.
"When we talk about the Tamarack lifestyle and the vibrancy of our community, the Village Plaza truly embodies that spirit," Boespflug said.
"All of our featured properties - the estate lots, the town homes, the chalets and now the condominiums - satisfy specific needs and desires of the variety of people interested in joining the Tamarack community," he said.
The resort will also stage seminars for interested buyers in late March and early April in Boise, the Seattle area and California.
