KUDOS DON DRISCOLL and
The PAYETTE LAND TRUST!
The Payette Land Trust today has announced donation of a 984-acre conservation easement in Washington County.
The owner, Don Driscoll of McCall, placed the easement on the ranch, which features an apple orchard and is home to elk, deer, pheasants and ducks.
The land trust was incorporated as a nonprofit charitable organization in 1993 and is dedicated to protecting and preserving open space in Idaho.
The land trust is a member of the Land Trust Alliance, an affiliation of 1,700 land trusts across the country, working together to promote and support land conservation efforts.
With the new donations, the trust now owns or holds conservation easements to more than
4,200 acres of property in Valley, Washington, Idaho and Adams counties.
In addition to discussions with local landowners regarding the donations of conservation easements, the Payette Land Trust is also seeking land to purchase.
