Brundage Mountain Open for Two More Weekends
McCall, Idaho – Near-record snowfall and consistently low spring temperatures are creating ideal conditions for two “Bonus Weekends” at Brundage Mountain Resort. The mountain’s base area received three inches of fresh snow this week, and the weekend forecast is calling for even more fresh snowfall.
The resort is now closed on weekdays, but is operating Saturday & Sunday, April 19 & 20, and also Saturday & Sunday, April 26 & 27, with chairlifts in operation from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
“We’ve only had a handful of days this whole season that we would consider ‘spring conditions’,” said resort spokesperson April Russell. “We still have over 80 inches of snow in our base area and all of our off-trail areas are still stuffed with snow.”
Season Extended – Near Record Snowfall
Normally, Brundage Mountain closes its winter operations after the second Sunday in April. Near-record snowfall and a promising forecast prompted Brundage to announce an extended season all the way back in March.
The resort is now just 18 inches away from breaking the record for season snowfall. The resort logged 430 inches in the winter of 1998/1999. In 2005/2006, the total reached 420 inches. As of Friday, April 18th, the running snowfall total is 412 inches, but there is more snow in the forecast.
Spring Savings Simple to Find
